Technology Takes Center Stage in 2007

Bonnie Sparks-Gray Bonnie Sparks-Gray, ABR, ABRM, CRB, CRS, GRI, President, Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers

For each of you, I hope that 2007 is off to a happy and healthy start. I'm very much looking forward to my year as president of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers. Our Council continues to position itself as "the Source" for real estate management information and education.

This month's Real Estate Business magazine is a case in point. As the president of the Real Estate Brokerage Division for Mel Foster Co. in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, I know technology leads the list of issues we deal with on a daily basis. We have invested in multifunction machines in each of our 13 offices, and training is essential to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Maintenance is also an issue. Our Web site needs continual updates, enhancements and optimization in order to capture the greatest number of buyers and sellers. Company computers and their use also need to be monitored and policy established and enforced.

Headshot

The CRB Council's products, resources, and education help keep managers, brokers, and owners at the top of their field. In addition to the services and publications, it's the networking opportunities that make my Council experience so valuable.
