Jonathan Nicholas, CRB, Elected as 2008 CRB Council President

  CHICAGO, January 28, 2008 – Jonathan D. Nicholas, ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI is the 2008 national president of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers. The Council, which has more than 7,000 members worldwide, confers the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation and is the governing body of the most prestigious real estate network for brokers, owners and managers in the nation.

Nicholas assumed the presidency during the Council’s recent business meetings in Las Vegas during the REALTORS® Conference & Expo. He serves as the organization’s 39th president. He holds the professional designations of Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and, Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI).

Nicholas, a second generation REALTOR®, began at the age of 18, becoming one of the youngest state license holders and member of his local real estate board in his native Oklahoma. Within four years, he opened his own property management operation, quickly growing to first in market share with more than 700 properties under management. His company sold most of its property management portfolio and ventured into real estate sales.

After working in regional positions with such industry players as Cendant and CNA Warranty, Jonathan accepted a position with RE/MAX of Indiana as Regional Director.Jonathan achieved remarkable results since joining RE/MAX. Total sales volume during his tenure increased more than 60% from $2.6 billion to more than $4.2 billion. The number of agents who joined RE/MAX of Indiana also increased 60% from 992 agents to more than 1,600. While at RE/MAX Nicholas oversaw 1,600 agents in 100 offices who assist more than 33,000 families in buying or selling a home in Indiana each year. 

In 2007, Nicholas joined Obeo as a Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His success has put him in the position as a much sought-after speaker, trainer and strategist, giving more than 80 presentations per year. Nicholas serves on several committees for both NAR and the CRB Council and he also is an Instructor for the Council.
