Market your course

As soon as your course is approved by the Council, begin your promotions. Utilize the Marketing Timeline to organize your promotional efforts. Follow these strategies to exceed your attendance goals:

Identify Your Target Markets

  • Members of REALTOR associations and boards, NAR affiliates, CRB Chapters
  • Council Members (Candidates, CRB Designees, general members)
  • Local Brokers/Owners/Managers and Team Leaders
  • Past attendees of CRB Courses

Direct Mail

Use the Council's new electronic marketing templates! It's as easy as adding the specifics about your Course and making copies! Send these pieces to your selected target market. Don't delay! If you need a mailing list, submit the Mailing List Request Form and we will send you an electronic file (Excel) with contact information for CRB Council members and past participants in the geographic area of your choice.

E-mail Blasts

Using the Council's new electronic marketing templates, e-mail prospective participants. The Council will also send out one e-mail blast to members in the geographic area of your choice. Simply submit the E-mail Blast Request Form and the Council will send out an e-mail on your behalf.

Telemarketing

Calling prospective participants is a great way to promote your Course and is very effective as a follow up to your direct mail piece.

Pound the Pavement

Distribute your marketing pieces to local venues where prospective participants can see them.

Press Releases

Write a conscise, informative press release. Decide which local or regional media sources most effectively reach your target market. Contact the editorial departments of local newspapers and business journals for their deadline dates and the name of the real estate or business editor/reporter.

Publications

Most REALTOR associations and boards, CRB Chapters and NAR affiliates publish either a newsletter or magazine fo their members. Many local and regional areas also have homebuilder association publications. Both of these would be great sources in which to advertise (using the Council's marketing templates) or submit you press release.

REALTOR Events

Professional real estate events include all those associated with REALTOR and homebuilder associations, NAR affiliates and local boards. Contact the event coordinaor no less than a week before the event date to request permission to make an announcement and/or to display your materials at their table or booth. Remember to take an ample number of flyers and registration forms.

Web Site

CRB Course Licensees will have their Course inforamtion listed on the Council Course Schedule. If your organization or company as its own Web site, list your Course information on it and any other sites linked to it. Be sure to mention your Web site listings in your marketing pieces, print advertising and MLS notices.

MLS Notices

MLS notices are an excellent way to reach real estate professionals. These notices should coordinate and run at the same time as your other advertising messages.

Our members continually say that their membership is a solid investment, resulting in returns far greater than they could possibly gain elsewhere.
